History of the New Designs
To mark the 20th Anniversary of its enormously successful reissue of Mission furniture, Stickley is proud to announce the launching of the Columbus Avenue Collection of classic Mission furniture. Named for Gustav Stickley’s family home on Columbus Avenue in Syracuse, New York, two of the designs were actually used prominently in the Stickley residence, while three others are related to pieces from Stickley’s home.

On Christmas Eve 1901, the Stickley home burned in a spectacular three-hour fire. Gustav was then at the peak of his creative powers, and rather than being discouraged by his loss he used the rebuilding as an opportunity to create a home environment no one had ever seen before. The resulting interior became a subject of publication and wide study, a revered showpiece of 20th-century design, and a potent influence on many branches ofAmerican furniture-building and architecture.

Stickley has now reissued seven impressive furniture designs that can live up to the historic Columbus Avenue name. We proudly introduce these, and several other fresh products, available exclusively at Aneita Fern: The Home of Stickley.

Hello, Dolly
Feel a little more patriotic every day of the year with this wonderfully creative Uncle Sam doll. In a village in the Highlands of Guatemala, there is a group of women who have come together to help create this artistic vision for Shari Enge of Old Soul Doll Company. The women of Ixoqi have created this unique figure to commemorate the historic inauguration of Barak Obama as America’s 44th president. Each original piece in the Old Soul collection is designed by American folk artist, Enge, in the tradition of dolls from the era around the Civil War. They are then hand made with love, one at a time, using only the best quality supplies available. You may not be able to have dinner with the President, but you can at least set a place for this doll in his honor.
