In celebration of the anniversary of Gustav Stickley's 150th Birthday, Stickley reissued this rare Gus bookcase, a design circa 1901. An original piece sold last December at Sotheby's for $361,000. Our first edition is based off one panel from our exquisite architectural laylight high overhead in the middle of our store. The laylight was designed by our architect, Ann Abernathy, from the Dallas firm of Booziotis & Company. Ann's inspiration was the prairie house laylights of Frank Lloyd Wright. Her depiction in glass of kayaking trips down the Brazos River in Texas was realized by the craftsmen at Foster Stained Glass in Bryan-College Station.

The unique ornament is mouth-blown, hand-silvered, painted and glittered by Polish artist Mia in her studios nestled in the Tatra mountains outside Krakow. Mia has received many honors and museum commissions from around the world, including a special ornament for the Dallas Museum of Art. She has been featured on the Today Show and the Fox Network.

Mia produced only 500 exclusive ornaments for Aneita Fern. Choose from glitter and non-glitter enhanced versions. All ornaments hand-numbered.
